In this quick tutorial, we will run you through how you can backup cPanel Emails using Horde to FREE UP some extra Disk Space.
Depending on what emails or folders you wish to backup there's a few things this method will be useful for:
|
Firstly, to access your online Webmail you would need to follow this link https://youromain.com/webmail
Once logged in you'll be prompted to select an Email App to access your Emails - Select 'Horde'.
Step 1: Click 'Folder Actions' - Select 'Create Folder' - Name it - Copy over Emails you want to Backup from other Folders.
(use this method if you don't wish to delete all of your Emails within the Inbox or Folder, you can use the newly created Folder to copy Emails over to it.)
Step 2: Right Click the Folder you want to Backup & Delete from the server - Select 'Export'.
Step 3: Select 'Download into a MBOX file (ZIP compressed)'
Step 4: Right Click the Folder once completed and select 'Empty' then 'Delete' (if you created a folder to backup).
Now You're All Done!
Just Remember to Create a Folder on a Secure/Password Protected Drive to store all of your Email Backups.
